The Director Sustainability leads the Life Sciences Platform’s efforts to develop and implement strategies that promote environmental responsibility and sustainability. This role involves working across departments to integrate sustainable practices into all aspects of the business, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and driving initiatives that reduce the company’s carbon footprint.

This position is part of the Life Sciences Legal department and will be located remotely in the United States.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Play a hands-on role in developing and implementing a sustainability program for the Life Sciences Platform Operating Companies in furtherance of Danaher’s Sustainability Development Goals (including project funnel prioritization, budgeting and management reporting)

  • Liaise with Danaher Corporate Sustainability team and contribute to achievement of enterprise program goals

  • Chair and develop a global network of Life Sciences Sustainability ambassadors embracing all business units and global organizations to promote transparency

  • Drive change management to continue to strengthen our Sustainability communication and engagement.

  • Contribute to the annual sustainability reporting process in compliance with reporting guidelines and in close collaboration with Corporate Sustainability team.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred with broad knowledge of the Life Sciences industry.

  • 7+ years of experience in sustainability or related field, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.

  • Demonstrated experience developing/implementing a sustainability program.

  • Proven experience building strong trusted relationships in a global, highly matrixed, environment.

  • Mastery of continuous process improvement tools and techniques (e.g., Six Sigma)

The salary range for this role is $160,000 - $180,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
