Your impact on the team:
McGraw Hill is currently seeking a Director, Transformation to join our Corporate Development team. You will join a small, high performing team and report directly to the Head of Corporate Development. Your work will empower and enable teams to drive McGraw Hill's strategic growth and transformation agenda, operational efficiency, and our evolution to a digital information services company.

Your work in this role will help inform our transformation agenda. Success will be measured in strategic and impactful ways of working for our team members, creating enterprise value for our company, improving experiences, and supporting outcomes for the millions of students, educators, and institutions that we serve worldwide.

This position can work remotely from a home office in North America or from one of our McGraw Hill offices. Travel is required 3-4 times per year for in-person meetings and team events.

What you will be doing:

  • Accountable for driving corporate transformation strategy, vision, and execution with other key leaders of our business, such as Global Procurement Operations.
  • Identify new revenue growth opportunities, new efficiency-driving opportunities to unlock value across all areas of the company, and business-enabling initiatives to support growth and efficiency programs.
  • Collaborate with external subject matter experts and internal teams to analyse current operating models, identify improvement opportunities, design new ways of working, and build business cases for change.
  • Mobilize teams to execute at a rapid pace by ensuring resourcing and a clear understanding of roles, metrics, milestones, and activities.
  • Establish critical metrics and run the performance management cadence to ensure progress across all metrics and milestones and create transparency into status, barriers, and risks.
  • Support key business leaders as they execute plans for each initiative and adjust as needed based on internal and external factors.
  • Ensure coordination of strategic and operational initiatives between business units.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of work experience in project management, process refinement, leading large scale enterprise-level initiatives
  • Professional and proactive in establishing and nurturing strong relationships internally and externally
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, specifically in use of MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Highly analytical with strong financial modelling skills, including financial statement analysis
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, with the ability to manage high volume of deliverables, multiple projects concurrently, and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and business acumen
  • PMP, Six Sigma or similar certification and procurement experience are preferred

The pay range for this position is between $140,000-$160,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
