Emergency Management Analyst

We are currently seeking to build our roster of qualified professionals in anticipation of what is predicted to be a historic hurricane season. We are looking for Emergency Management Analysts. This work will be on-site in New York City. The ideal candidate should have a passion for emergency management, be a self-starter, and have the desire to solve complex problems for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Clean, organize and manage large data sets collected by field personnel.

• Analyze complex and/or large data sets using Microsoft Excel.

• Work with onsite stakeholders to troubleshoot data based on an established information collection process.

• Interface with technical and non-technical audiences to build consensus on data solutions and address project issues.

• Coordinate with a team of emergency managers and other stakeholders to address information/data shortfalls and develop solutions.

• Other activities as directed by the client.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher.

• Ability to support shift schedule.

• Three or more years of professional experience.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

• Advanced and proven skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., creating and utilizing pivot tables for data analysis)

• High attention to detail.

• Superior written and oral communication skills.

• Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of PowerBI and/or Tableau.

• Background or interest in emergency management or management consulting.

Salary Range: $60,000-$85,000

Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience andtraining, licensure and certifications, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs.
