JPMorgan Chase Equities - Structured Financing - Associate in New York, New York

Job Summary:

As an associate in the Structured Equity Financing desk, you will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the trading business across transaction lifecycles. This includes deal vetting and execution, portfolio management of existing exposures, and liaising with internal stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to work directly with clients, and assist in executing a variety of structured financing transactions. We are looking for a team player with strong communication skills, genuine interest in financial markets, who is not afraid to ask questions and can deal with a variety of personality types.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all aspects of the trading business across transaction lifecycles

  • Deal vetting and execution

  • Portfolio management of existing exposures

  • Platform and technology development

  • Financial resource management and liaising with internal stakeholders (including client coverage, risk and legal/regulatory teams)

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively.

  • Outstanding quantitative and qualitative skills.

  • Advanced excel skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills. A Team player and work well with a broad spectrum of peers, stakeholders and clients.

  • Driven / Self-starter. Display genuine interest in financing markets and is creative in problem solving

  • Understands what they don't know and isn't afraid to ask questions

  • Understanding of risk management and related concepts

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Understanding of structured financing concepts is preferred

  • Capital markets or similar Borrower / "buyside" experience is preferred

  • Python coding experience
