Collect and analyze data related to therapeutics and various diseases, including scientific papers, clinical data, and prescription trends. Build, update and maintain financial models. Leverage scientific and financial acumen in writing research reports and notes on companies for distribution to the SVBL sales force and institutional clients. Interview company executives or medical/industry consultants to develop and maintain sources of information in preparation of analyses. Keep current of market news. Support senior equity research professionals by attending events of special interest. Draft market research surveys and analyze results. Formulate investment recommendations based on fundamental analysis, valuation and risk assessment of individual companies. Required Education: PhD, PharmD, or MD (or foreign degree equivalent). Required Skills: Demonstrated ability with equity research or investment banking for companies in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare industry; Demonstrated ability with clinical development, regulatory affairs, business development and commercialization in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare industry; Demonstrated ability with quantitative analysis, financial modeling and forecasting, and creating reports in Microsoft Excel; Demonstrated ability with statistical analysis techniques; Demonstrated ability distilling complex scientific and medical publications into concise and comprehensible insights for presentation to various stakeholders. 9-5, M-F, $146,141-$170,000/year.
