The Office of Corporate Engagement

The Goldman Sachs Office of Corporate Engagement leads the global philanthropic efforts of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (Goldman Sachs), including strategic partnerships, charitable giving, and employee volunteerism. This includes programs such as the firm's Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) program, 10,000 Small Businesses, 10,000 Women, One Million Black Women, Goldman Sachs Gives and Community TeamWorks.

The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) team is responsible for planning, developing, executing, monitoring, and reporting on Goldman Sachs' CRA program.

The CRA Associate will help lead the broader CRA team in its responsibilities for managing Goldman Sachs' CRA program. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Program management
    • Preparing documents and data for CRA examinations and other CRA-related requirements, including oversight of various internal teams to create required documentation for loans, investments, grants and services
    • Ongoing monitoring of Goldman Sachs' progress against performance targets
    • Supporting the administration of the annual Community Development Grant program
    • Facilitating planning for GS Bank's CRA governance committees
    • Creating presentations, case studies and other collateral for internal and external meetings
  • Governance and oversight:
    • Annual review and revision as necessary of the bank's CRA policy
    • Developing and implementing the controls framework governing CRA regulatory submissions
  • Community engagement:
    • Participate in external interactions with community groups and non-profit partners
    • Conducting periodic formal community needs assessments in GS Bank's CRA assessment areas

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in a compliance, audit, or process management role
  • Experience with CRA, community development, and/or philanthropy preferred
  • Strong analytical, research, PowerPoint, and project management skills a must
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
