Citigroup Financial Optimization Sr. Group Manager in New York, New York

The Financial Optimization Sr. Group Manager / Operations & Technology is an integral member of the Analytics and Decision Management team. Partnering with O&T colleagues, Finance, and Human Resources, the Director - Operations & Technology Financial Optimization will lead the O&T Financial Optimization team providing business and financial analytics. Using multiple sources of financial, transactional, and resourcing data, the incumbent will apply in depth understanding of operations and technology to identify and frame key trends, business opportunities and risks for management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Systematically use and interpret financial analysis to evaluate potential costs, benefits, risks, and returns associated with business opportunities and strategic choices.

  • Leads and directs a team of professionals.

  • Performs detailed causal variance analysis on resourcing, expenses, and financial results.

  • Drive process improvements across the organization to execute and support qualitative and quantitative decisions.

  • Collaborate with FP&A team to develop financial projections.

  • Interpret and presentation financial, resourcing and trend analysis to O&T Leadership and key stakeholders.

  • With Finance, establish an enhanced planning and financial process governance.

  • Through analytics, identify productivity and expense management opportunities.

  • Through insightful analysis and strategy development, support, and track execution; driving productivity, growth, and optimizing of capital.

  • As appropriate, analyze financial impacts of contract changes.

  • Define and establish processes for the reporting and tracking of the financial and resourcing requirements for an integrated O&T plan.

  • Lead review and challenge sessions with the Business, Programs, and Finance

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting

  • 15+ years of financial experience financial services industry.

  • Strong analytical skills, as well as control and compliance mindset.

  • MS Office experience.

  • Strong leadership skill and business acumen.

  • Executive presence, ability to interact and influence senior management.

  • Excellent communication/presentation skills; ability to drive change and support for performance improvement across all functional areas.

  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented, intense environment.

  • Track record of exceptional performance

  • Experience in leading key strategic programs

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across business units / functions to deliver results

  • High energy, diplomatic, self-starter with a flexible and pragmatic attitude and desire to show continued progress.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
