Citigroup Financial Planning & Analysis Lead Analyst in New York, New York

Citibank N.A. seeks a Financial Planning & Analysis Lead Analyst for its New York, NY location.

Duties: Create financial reports and meet with finance team to clearly summarize financial trends and provide insight to senior management. Advise on directional strategy and provide guidance on significant business/product decisions. Execute analysis of annual 3-year Strategic/Operating Plans, CCAR PPNR forecasts, mid-year reforecasts, and bi-monthly outlooks in partnership with segment, business, and country FP&A teams. Prepare analytics in support of CEO Reviews, including business initiatives. Execute analysis of product profitability and provide guidance on significant business and product decisions. Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and senior management to influence behavior and decision making. Prepare presentations and analysis for the team supporting the CFO. Act as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and six (6) years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation in the financial services industry. The employer will accept three years of university-level studies plus two years of experience in meeting the Bachelor's degree requirement. Six (6) years of experience must include: Providing financial analysis for monthly forecasts, strategic multi-year forecasts, and annual budgets; Supporting regulatory and shareholder perspectives to enhance comprehension of financial performance; Executing analysis of annual 3-year Strategic/Operating Plans, CCAR PPNR forecasts, mid-year reforecasts, and bi-monthly outlooks in partnership with segment, business, and regional/cluster FP&A teams; Implementing restructuring/right sizing, investment prioritization to high growth sectors in specific region and overseeing discretionary expenses; Identifying and implementing course corrections to ensure achievement of targets, including conducting financial analysis for divestitures and wealth; Developing standard and centralized analytics in collaboration with other regional finance teams and functional partners; and Interpreting business performance against targets using an understanding of business dynamics in the context of macroeconomic and market factors. 40 hrs./wk.
