Robert Half Fundraising Officer in New York, New York

Description

We are seeking a Development and Fundraising Coordinator to join our team in the Higher Education industry on a part time basis/ two days a week. Based in New York, this role will involve a range of responsibilities from tracking outreach to building relationships. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the maintenance and organization of files to ensure efficient record-keeping.

• Track outreach efforts using Google Sheets to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.

• Handle email correspondence, including sending cold emails, to reach out to potential donors or sponsors.

• Involve in the selling of ads in conference programs to generate additional revenue.

• Solicit sponsorships to support various activities and programs.

• Establish and nurture relationships with donors, sponsors, and other stakeholders to promote long-term cooperation.

• Use MS Office and Google Sheets to manage data and generate reports.

• Participate in political campaigns and labor organizing activities to broaden network and increase fundraising opportunities.

• Provide high-quality customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.

• Use CRM software to manage customer interactions and data, enhancing the customer relationship process.

Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field

• Proven experience in fundraising, preferably within the higher education sector

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Sheets

• Familiarity with CRM systems and practices

• Knowledge of ADP Financial Services and Automated Underwriting System

• Experience with Banner Ads and Crystal Reports

• Strong understanding of compliance requirements within the fundraising sector

• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to perform cold calling and manage political campaigns

• Knowledge of Labor Market Information

• Skills in counselling and providing guidance (counsels)

• Experience in disbursement management

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
