Regulatory Engineering plays a key role in the firm's compliance with global regulation across multiple jurisdictions, this includes pre trade and post trade non-financial regulatory reporting i.e., Trade, order, execution, transaction, position and valuation reporting to the relevant regulators, exchanges, central banks, relevant competent authorities, and various operations teams within the firm. We provide automated monitoring, anomaly detection, alerting, exception management and workflow services to operations users. In addition, we employ ML techniques to provide analytics and build dashboards for operations users. In Regulatory Engineering, we use both open-source industry standard and internal proprietary technologies to build cutting edge, high throughput and resilient platforms for reporting and monitoring millions of Orders, Executions, Trades, Transactions, and associated controls.

Your Impact

Regulatory Engineering is looking for an experienced senior Production Engineer, where you will be responsible for supporting the Regulatory Reporting global platforms, owning projects to uplift the production platforms, managing Technical Risk changes, deploying software, and building and deploying production support and observability tools. You will be managing a team of Contingent Workers in your role to deliver on those responsibilities. The Production Engineering team works closely with each other across multiple regions, with Regulatory Operations, Regulatory Engineering, Platform Teams, and Infrastructure Teams providing digital solution to business problems. You will work with some of the best minds in the industry and get an opportunity to interact with various Operations and Engineering teams.

Responsibility & Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Support VP who will play a key role in driving incident and problem management of complex issues and managing transformational projects. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach are key. We expect you to constructively volunteer reasoned views and opinions in different team forums, both technically and functionally. You will lead initiatives where you will extend or lay the foundation of new production engineering solutions. Effectively meeting the demands of our challenging mandate requires a passion for learning as well as deep understanding and experience across a wide array of technical competencies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in supporting complex applications and processes in a commercial environment.
  • Prior experience supporting data driven, high availability critical systems.
  • Experience with multiple high throughput transactional databases (+1MM transaction per day) and high-volume database warehouses (> 1TB), including SAP IQ, Sybase ASE and DB2.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Demonstrate a strong track record of delivering transformational changes to production environments including stability, observability, capacity, and technical uplift projects.
  • Energetic, self-directed, and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Experienced in collaborating in global teams and possesses strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Git and awareness of other modern SDLC practices.
  • Experience of deploying complex software projects.
  • Experience in modern message-oriented middleware, e.g. Kafka or RabbitMQ or similar technologies.
  • Competence in analyzing and debugging applications, for example Java/Python, scheduling tools, HDFS/Data Lake, Cloud technologies will be desirable.
