Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant for a Rehabilitation Center/Nursing Home!!

Job Description:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for attending meetings, orientations, and trainings as directed. Your duties will include cleaning and tidying patient rooms, serving meals, ensuring dietary changes are reported, and answering call bells promptly. You are also expected to assure patient safety, report necessary repairs or missing items, and document care provided during your shifts. T

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a nursing home/rehabilitation setting

  • State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.

  • Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association).

Nice to have:

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to think and work independently, while maintaining efficient and consistent communication with team leaders or managers.

  • Excellent oral communication skills when interacting with other health professionals in the presence of patients (i.e., “bedside manner”).

  • Ability to endure high-pressure situations in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.

Responsibilities:

  • Recording vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse rate, as requested by staff.

  • Reminding patients to take medications and other nutritional supplements as needed.

  • Checking patient vital signs each day and keeping precise records in the patient’s chart.

  • Assisting with daily living activities to ensure patients are well taken care of. This includes turning and ambulating patients and delivering food and beverages throughout the day.

  • Helping patients with personal hygiene, such as providing bedpans and assisting with bathing.

  • Providing adjunct patient care as needed, including delivering ice packs and dressings to help relieve pain during therapy or soothing baths after sessions.

  • Closely monitoring and recording food intake, as well as urinary and fecal output, to share with key medical and nursing staff.
