About the Internship

The Human Resources department is looking for an Information Systems intern to join their team! The HR Systems team maintains HR applications and modules in alignment with HR policy and processes. This includes monitoring and managing system health, production support and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) related projects to keep the department and the agency moving forward with the correct tools at hand.

The scope of this work supports all aspects of HR Operations including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Total Rewards, Diversity & Inclusion, Organizational Policy, Business Partners, and Assessment Services. The Team currently supports various platforms with the main ones being Oracle’s PeopleSoft, Employ’s Talemetry/Jobvite, Reflektive, Visier, SkillSoft Percipio, OpenText and DocuSign. Key stakeholders include both Human Capital and application subject matter experts throughout the agency.

Responsibilities

  • Support the team's work in respect to HR Applications and Production Support

  • Work with the team on existing projects such as the continued implementation of Jobvite, which is the Agency's Applicant Tracking System

  • This work will include product testing, data validation, development of job aids and assistance with troubleshooting inquires.

  • Support other HRIS projects and ad hoc requests as it relates to maintenance of system health

Minimum Qualifications

  • Enrollment at a college/university through Summer 2025 and into the Fall 2025 semester

  • Major in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with business applications and a strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (e.g., pivot tables, vlookup, and formulas)

  • Willingness to take initiative and ask questions

  • Keen attention to details

Internship Details

  • The start date will be determined at the time of an offer

  • This internship will require 21.75 to 36.25 hours per week

  • The format is expected to be hybrid

Compensation & Benefits

  • The hourly rate range is $17.63 to $29.57 (the exact rate will be determined by internship type and rising school year)
