Job Description
J.S. Held's Digital Investigations & Discovery Practice provides companies, legal counsel, financial institutions, and other organizations with the information required to make well-informed business decisions. Our team is retained to advise in multi-jurisdictional business transactions and investments, regulatory inquiries, compliance issues, and legal proceedings. With experts located across the globe, we support clients in North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East.
Our Global Investigations Practice has openings available at the Managing Director level. The candidate will join an experienced and closely-knit team of investigative professionals, with deep experience in handling complex research projects, including leading project teams, building client relationships and advising on complex data intensive matters.
Job responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement go to market strategies related to driving revenue growth
- Utilize knowledge of databases and programming languages to analyze and interpret data, to include historical financial, operational, and transactional data, and identify potentially sensitive data content
- Prepare and validate analyses, reports, presentations, quantitative exhibits, and other client deliverables results of work performed
- Participate in client meetings to review results of work performed
- Responsible for management of day-to-day activities of a project including interaction with other team members, professionals from other firms involved in the engagement, and clients
- Mentor and drive team development as part of (and outside of) engagements
- Execute and expand on projects involving the identification, collection, processing, review, and/or analyses of electronic data relevant to management consulting, financial investigation and/orregulatory/complianceengagements
- Build relationships and engage in activities to generate qualified leads
- Working on other project-based work, across all industries and geographies
- Production of written reports, often with tight deadlines; and
- Provide support in other ad-hoc tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university. MIS, Computer Science, or Business Analytics degrees preferred
- 12+ years of relevant work experience in the consulting industry. Deep industry expertise (e.g. Financial Services, Life Sciences, etc) a plus
- 7+ years of experience building and leading teams, and developing business through marketing and thought leadership efforts
- 7+ years of experience with database programming languages (SQL, PL/SQL) and other database applications (MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL)
- 3+ years of experience with other programming and scripting languages (PHP, VBA, Python, C#), ETL software and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Ability to travel as needed
- Strong organization and attention to detail skills
