What the day will look like

Within Aon, the CoverWallet digital platform is transforming the insurance industry by connecting Clients with Insurance Markets and Capabilities in a digital-first way. The Lead Product Manager, Digital Insurance Platform role will lead a material part of our platform focused on scaling our capabilities and driving customer satisfaction. Our InsurTech platform provides both B2B and B2B2B solutions at a global scale through first-party, strategic partners, and private-labeled solutions.

We are looking for an experienced product manager who can work collaboratively across the organization, including with senior leaders in Product, Engineering, Operations, Sales and Business Development teams, and with our customers. You will set strategy to achieve our vision, drive a feasible and valuable roadmap, and deliver results that impact our customer segments in measurable ways. You have experience driving digital solutions that generate value at scale, and will work with a cross-functional team of many in Engineering and other key disciplines. Growth in people management is possible over time with strong performance.

The ideal candidate should have an understand of the digital insurance landscape, or a deep mastery of a related industry, as well as demonstrate competency in digital product management and leadership. A candidate who is able to balance the trade-off between long-term strategy and near-term value creation is sought. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to demonstrate experience managing cross-functional stakeholders with a variety of perspectives in a fast-paced environment.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap, and lead the cross-functional product teams responsible for one or multiple areas of our digital platform

  • Manage digital products or services end to end including conception, launch, and scale in coordination with cross-functional teams

  • Conduct strategic analyses, customer/competitor research, and market sizing

  • Own customer discovery and continuous evaluation of product-market fit

  • Collect, analyze and synthesize both quantitative and qualitative user data including using artificial intelligence and machine learning models where appropriate

  • Develop, test and launch new products and features

  • Analyze and manage product performance to meet company goals and targets

  • Communicate clearly among the various stakeholders and manage their expectations

  • Work closely with designers, engineers, operations, sales, marketing, and business teams to ship high quality, user-centric products and features

    Professional:

  • 6+ years of experience in product management or related discipline

  • Experience with InsurTech or FinTech platforms and components is a plus

  • Has led a high-performing cross-functional product team and experience mentoring/coaching others on core product management skills

  • Ability to think strategically and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

  • Demonstrated success in defining, building and launching full-scale digital products that had a positive business impact

  • Driven product decisions that materially and quantifiably drove the business forward through deep understanding & analysis of business metrics

  • Strong analytical skills and deep experience with data tools to measure business performance and product adoption

  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done

  • Strong consensus and relationship-building skills

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Outstanding communication skills across all medium (presentations, stories, verbal)

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree. Master’s or other advanced degree /certification welcomed

  • Field of study in a relevant aspect of digital technology including software development, computer or systems engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, entrepreneurship, or related.

    Pay Transparency Laws:

    The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $140,000 to $160,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
