Amazon Lead, Strategy & Customer, Transformation, Global Healthcare and Nonprofit in New York, New York

Description

As a Strategy and Transformation Lead for Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the exciting opportunity to serve as a force multiplier for both AWS Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) business (internal) and the mission-driven Global Healthcare and Nonprofit customers we serve (external). You will learn, contribute, and grow by serving as a: frontline partner in delivering results and velocity to value for customers at varying levels of cloud maturity, builder of repeatable mechanisms/frameworks that enable impact at scale, and trusted strategic advisor to inform prioritization and focus decisions for the business.

You will have the opportunity to align your expertise and experience across two core functional areas:

  1. The Customer Transformation function works hand-in-hand with Sales, Executive Advisors, and Industry Business Development to engage select customer’ C-suite leaders with tailored offerings. These engagements range from foundational visioning and executive activation to comprehensive strategic innovation engagements. You will be responsible for working alongside customer C-suite, executives and partners, to reimagine how AWS/Amazon can accelerate and support our customers in achieving their missions and visions. More specifically, you will work with customers to ideate, co-design, prioritize, and deliver on a diversified innovation pipeline. You will manage collaborative creation of internal/external documents to present opportunities and investment proposals to leadership teams and other stakeholders. Moreover, you will lead cross-cutting engagements that concurrently activate multiple customers. These 1-many customer engagements raise brand awareness, capture the voice of our customers, inform new solutions and refinements to existing AWS offerings, and serve as forums for customers to connect and collaborate on best practices. You will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams—including leadership, subject matter experts, marketing and partners—in the end-to-end production and facilitation of these engagements.

  2. The Strategy function is responsible for developing and facilitating execution of multi-year strategies that are informed by market trends and analysis, delivering on strategic WWPS priorities, and empowering the Sales and Industry Business Development functions to look around corners on behalf of our customers. You will be responsible for collaborating with leadership and multidisciplinary teams to: create shared baseline understanding built upon synthesis of voices of our customers, emerging trends, and industry and competitor landscape; articulate aligned vision, mission, and decision-making tenets; chart a shared roadmap alongside strategic growth levers; and prioritize mechanisms and investments required to translate strategy into action. Moreover, you will create content to help customers better understand the value of AWS/Amazon offerings, including: thought leadership, white papers, case studies, use cases, pilots, proofs of concept, and demonstrations.

The ideal candidate will have a combination of vertical healthcare and nonprofit (e.g., research, charities, cause and cure organizations) industry experience alongside cross-cutting skills, including: strategic planning, management consulting, executive facilitation, human-centered design, digital innovation, business development, sales, and/or portfolio management. They will be willing and able to execute on strategic plans and drive actions to a successful completion. This person will leverage their deep industry background to engage and communicate effectively on a wide range of business and technical discussions with customers, partners, and internal AWS/Amazon teams. Successful candidates will identify opportunities that can serve multiple customers and build customer references and use cases to support future engagements. Having a proven and successful track record of building and managing a large pipeline of opportunities is a plus.
