Our canine group, under Allied Universal® Enhanced Protection Services, is hiring a Licensing Director. The Licensing Director will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of licensing and registration for Enhanced Protection Services. The Licensing Director is responsible for managing the relationship with external licensing service providers, ensuring that all licensing processes are executed efficiently and in a timely manner. This role will act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners, facilitating communication and collaboration to meet organizational needs. Additionally, the Director will monitor and evaluate service provider performance, implementing strategies for continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strong leadership, strategic oversight, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of licensing and registration.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and oversee the strategic vision for licensing and registration policies, procedures, and processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals

  • Ensure all licensing and registration activities are compliant with applicable laws and regulations, and proactively manage the timely acquisition, maintenance, and renewal of all necessary licenses and registrations

  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with government agencies and regulatory bodies, serving as the primary liaison to advocate for organizational interests

  • Direct the collection, analysis, and reporting of data related to licensing and registration, leveraging insights to inform decision-making and enhance operational efficiency

  • Assess existing licensing and registration processes, recommending and implementing strategic improvements to optimize performance and compliance

  • Lead the development and delivery of training programs for staff on licensing and registration requirements, ensuring knowledge transfer and adherence to best practices

  • Selection and placement of direct reports; design and implement career development and performance improvement plans; prioritize workload; manage deadlines

  • Stay informed on industry regulations and trends, ensuring the organization is agile in its response to changes in state and federal laws and maintaining a culture of compliance

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, or a related field

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in licensing and registration

  • Minimum of five (5) years of management experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of local, state, and federal regulations

  • Demonstrated proficiency with conflict resolution techniques

  • Ability to collaborate with other departments to fulfill business needs

  • Ability to evaluate program effectiveness and ensure operation efficiency and quality control

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in record-keeping and database management

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Experience handling or understanding of bonds and certificates of insurance

  • Certifications or training relevant to the outlined responsibilities

SALARY: $89,000 - $94,000 per year
