Description/Job Summary
The Litigation Practice Solutions Manager is a central part of the team responsible for developing, supporting and managing the Firm's knowledge resources for the Litigation Department, including the practice intelligence system, intranet site and knowledge bank. The Litigation Practice Solutions Manager will help the Litigation Department design, develop and implement solutions to create efficiencies, improve service delivery and enhance client value. The Litigation Practice Solutions Manager will package insights into visual, easy-to-consume forms that help users make important business decisions quickly and easily. The Litigation Practice Solutions Manager will interact regularly with executive staff and attorneys, requiring the ability to synthesize complex information and effectively communicate data insights clearly. In addition, the Litigation Practice Solutions Manager will be responsible for organizing and managing the Litigation Department's knowledge repositories to make precedents and know-how available, organized and searchable.
Responsibilities/Duties
Work with the Litigation Department, Finance and Knowledge teams to capitalize on opportunities to leverage data to drive strategic decision making and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Department
Collaborate with attorneys to determine practice-specific challenges and advises them on effective use of technology or improved workflows/processes to address those issues
Identify, collect and organize work product for the Litigation Department, ensuring content is readily accessible, up-to-date and leveraged by the Litigation Department
Work alongside the KM group to rollout practice intelligence systems to the Litigation Department with a focus on maintaining a system or process for capturing relevant data in matter profiles, and tracking and reporting on missing data
Design, deploy and maintain highly visual reports and dashboards that surface quantitative insights in forms that are fit-for-purpose, modern and accessible
Analyze Department data to monitor trends and KPIs
Partner with the Knowledge Department to research, evaluate and recommend practice tools and solutions focused on enhancing efficiency, speed, accuracy and collaboration in the delivery of legal services
Coordinate with the Knowledge Management, Data Analytics and Practice Technology to develop, test and implement solutions to increase effectiveness and efficiency in the Litigation Department
Project manage the implementation and roll-out of practice technology solutions, including capturing next steps, coordinating meetings and preparing deliverables
Assist with the development and delivery of user adoption campaigns, including leading training programs for attorney adoption and monitoring post-roll out usage
Prepare and analyze metric reports to inform usage and adoption strategies
Assist attorneys in locating and using practice-related knowledge resources
Support special projects and perform other duties
Required Skills
Strong project management skills with the ability to organize, prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional analytical abilities with a solution oriented approach
Superior communication skills, both oral and written, and with the ability to produce quality work product such as memorandum, presentations and spreadsheets
Ability to work effectively both independently and with others in a cooperative and collaborative manner
Appetite and aptitude to learn new technologies and develop innovative solutions
Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to define solutions to support and improve those processes
Sound judgment with respect to confidential and sensitive information
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Competency with enterprise data visualization platforms (e.g. MS Power BI, Tableau)
Familiarity with generative AI technology
Highly motivated and curious self-starter with excellent attention to detail, organizational and problem solving skills and a "can-do" attitude
Required Experience
- Minimum four (4) years of relevant experience, preferably in a law firm environment
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Education
- J.D. or equivalent law degree

Salary Information
NY only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $145k to $180k at the time of posting.
The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
