Compensation:
Salary Range: $133,834 - $140,330 (Grade C - 677 Hay Points)
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for managing the night operations of the Bus & Rail Field Operations Division. Major objectives include coordinating and overseeing the activities of the Joint OSS/TWU/SSSA Safety Inspection Teams which evaluate compliance to the NYCT Transit Safety requirements and preparing detailed reports of the inspections identifying areas of non-compliance and providing recommendations for those issues not addressed by current policy/procedure. This position is also responsible for the investigation of serious industrial accidents and providing technical support to the Department of Subways. Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
A minimum of eight (8) years satisfactory experience and at least two (2) years of which must have been in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
Desired Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Skill in dealing with sensitive safety issues and TWU representatives.
Knowledge of NYC Transit Safety Policies, MOW Safety Rules and OSHA regulations and accident investigation techniques.
Experience with Flagging and currently NYCT Flagging Certified
Computer skills in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Access.
