What You Will Do:

The owner of data analysis is responsible for managing business critical data and will be the vital link between the supply chain and activity-based data (i.e.; cost, productivity, demand, sales, inventory, etc.) This position will work as the liaison between the Division Operations teams and the central remonitization team to bring together lists of excess and obsolete products in a productive way to allow for more product circularity, incremental sales, and profit for L’Oréal USA. This role will develop process, performance reporting and channel dashboards. They will be tasked to find innovative ways to record, monitor and report data used to manage retail supply chain activities with the expectation to turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. The manager will work closely with various members of the supply chain and key business stakeholders. They must be self-directed and be comfortable to work and communicate with individuals of all levels. This position must provide analytical support for projects, new systems, reporting and process improvement proposals.  

The Manager would be responsible for:

  • Gather and manage the Excess & Obsolete lists.

  • Coordinate with divisions on the availability and accessibility of the product for liquidation.

  • Gathers, interprets, and summarizes large amounts of relevant business data.

  • Provides monthly KPI reports to retail supply chain and key stakeholders.

  • Lead inventory management and related activities for 2nd Life Channel.

  • Monitors data for integrity, accuracy and timeliness and challenges accordingly.

  • Investigates issues with data discrepancies and inventory nuances between the inventory management tools (LEO, SAP or in EIW) works with IT partners to find root causes and to develop solutions.

  • Collaborates with functional experts to learn more and find solutions.

  • Work with Divisional Supply Chain Teams to improves processes and systems to add value to the supply chain and business.

  • Represent the 2nd life channel on supply chain matter, with technical teams, has direct communication with retailers, divisions, and Paris Management teams.

  • Create, communicate, and lead a meeting cadence with the Groupe No Waste Operations Team and represent 2nd life operations at already established Divisional No Waste Monthly Meetings.

  • Will gather requirements for new tool / tool upgrade requirements.

  • Will test and validate data as needed to support initiatives.

  • Train, collaborate and liaison with operations partners on business intelligent tools and will help to develop reporting as needed to support reporting and job efficiency.

  • Develops ad hoc report and well as sustainable reporting tools as required to support the remonitization strategy and commercial efforts to help the team achieve the No Waste goals.

  • Leads projects relative to retail operations and supply chain improvements in areas of people, process, or tools on remonitization.

  • Support, monitor, make recommendations and oversee the sell in strategy of the 2nd life channel.

  • Own stock in trade, on shelf availability and service metrics for assigned 2nd life channel retailer/channels in order to provide recommendations regarding business tactics and vendor/retailer performance.

  • Work cross divisional with planning teams to identify Obsolete 07 and 08 status products to create approved product lists. Create uniform list templates for all divisions that include the pertinent information and data.

  • Work cross functional to secure necessary alignment and approvals from key stakeholders.

  • Verification and vetting of lists, cross checking product codes, availability, batch codes, expiry information.

  • Utilization of the LEO tool

    What We Are Looking For:

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related field.

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Supply Chain

  • Strong qualitative and business analytical skill

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Access / SQL database and statistical applications

  • Must be able to identify and interpret patterns, trends and assess data quality and can eliminate irrelevant data

  • Familiar with supply chain logistics, distribution planning and retail math a plus

  • Working knowledge of business intelligent tools to model desired KPI views that provide visibility to issues and opportunities.

  • Strong research and problem-solving skills with ability to summarize, articulate findings, make recommendations and facilitate change.

  • Ability to use lateral thinking and prioritize; works progressively and independently and will meet deadlines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as will have direct communication with division stakeholders, the retailer and with Paris management teams – multicultural experience a plus.

    Additional Benefits Information As Follows:

    Salary Range: $ $100,400 - $143,000 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
