Our Properties

NeueHouse currently operates across four different, but equally iconic, properties in New York City and Los Angeles:

  • Our Madison Square (MSQ) House is situated in New York’s iconic Flatiron District, was previously home for Tepper Galleries, a well-known Manhattan auction house for international artists and collectors in the 1930s – and neighbors the 69th Regiment Armory where the first International Exhibition of Modern Art was held.

  • Our Hollywood House (HWD), which sits on Sunset Boulevard, is one of LA’s most celebrated buildings and occupies the original CBS Studio (the world’s first structure built intentionally for broadcast). Here genre- defining artists from Orson Wells and Lucille Ball to Janis Joplin, the Beach Boys, and Bob Dylan built their legacy.

  • Our Venice Beach House (VB) was once the creative home to some of the most influential creative luminaries in art and entertainment including Hal Ashby, Oliver Stone, and David Hockney, NeueHouse Venice Beach is a new work, social, and cultural hub for the Venice creative community.

The Role

Sitting across Madison Square Member Services teams, the Member Services Agent provides the most hospitable and top-quality meeting spaces and amenities to NH members and guests. Reporting into the Director of Member Experience, the role sets the standard of house atmosphere and condition for all the NH Members, visitors, vendors and team members who walk through our doors. As the home of the new, we’re investing in new ways of working, creating and collaborating and our Member Services Agent is responsible for offering and coordinating assistance in support of fostering NeueHouse’s collaborative atmosphere. Responsible for delivering mail and packages, and overseeing conference rooms, printing services, communications subscription services, and member business amenities, the Member Services Agent acts as the House’s main communication hub for internal and external communications.

NeueHouse’s team is lean and operates with a mindset of “no task is too small.” The Member Services Agent must expect to manage through ambiguity and will need to be ready to support all NH departments in meeting the needs of the house.

Requirements

Solution oriented and taking pride in the details, the Member Services Agent builds, delivers and stewards the moments that define NeueHouse for Members, Guests and team – past, present, and future. The role requires someone who is ready to:

  • Actively work to shape the culture of NeueHouse, particularly as it relates to our catalyst values (generosity, authenticity, curiosity, and kindness), as well as promoting an atmosphere of creativity and elevated service

  • Organizing and upkeeping inventory of all business center amenities (i.e. paper, pens, water, coasters, etc.)

  • Escalating any quality or performance issues to IT or Facilities management

  • Conducting daily incoming and outgoing mail and package procedures according to SOP and company policy

  • Handling any member mail questions or disputes; helping to track mail upon member or fellow employee request

  • Circulating internal deliveries to associated departments

  • Organizing and tidying mail storage

  • Escalating to any mail supplies ordering needs to direct manager

  • Conference room opening and closing

  • Restocking

  • Cleanliness and on-time preparedness

  • Communicating with Front Desk and IT to fulfill member tech requests

  • Escalating any quality or performance issues to IT or Facilities management

  • Conducting regular walk-thru and inspection of member areas (i.e. kitchenettes, soft seating areas, bathrooms)

  • Informing any needs to Housekeeping and other associated departments via Slack

  • Conducting meeting room flips according to SOP

  • Placing orders for house subscriptions in line with guidelines provided by Marketing team

  • Constantly updating and maintaining quality of display throughout the house

  • Placing and removing member communication signage around the house according to events schedules

  • Informing direct manager of signage replacement needs when necessary

  • Follow all safety policies.

  • Opening, closing, and managing the House on weekends

  • Crosstrain with Member Experience team and be able to cover duties as needed.

  • Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Experience in Property Management Software's, Revenue Management Systems, desired

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $20.00 - $23.00 an hour. NeueHouse is committed to equitable and competitive compensation and benefits packages for our team members and will consider many factors when extending offers of employment. Some of the factors we consider may include qualifications of individual applicants against the position and business needs, years of relevant experience in the role or industry, specific or unique skills, certifications or professional accreditations specific to the role, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the role. The anticipated range for compensation shared here does not include any other components or benefits that may be available
