North American Institutional Consultant Relations Team The North American Institutional Consultant Relations Team is responsible for driving growth across the MSIM platform, via the consultant relations channel, through the development of new relationships, the enhancement of existing relationships, and the application of a holistic and partnership-oriented approach to provide a best-in-class consultant and associated client experience. The Consultant Relations Senior Associate role will support senior consultant relations professionals in servicing consultant requests, maintaining existing relationships, attaining product ratings, and driving new business.

Highlights & Key Responsibilities The North American Institutional Consultant Relations Team is seeking a collaborative, self-motivated, and deadline-driven professional to support our institutional capital raising efforts. The position will require a high degree of coordination with both internal and external stakeholders on Request for Proposal (RFP) processes and ad-hoc requests. Additionally, the candidate should possess strong communication and analytical skills, as responsibilities will include hosting meetings, communicating quantitative and qualitative information, and preparing competitive analysis on MSIM strategies. This position offers high visibility internally, providing meaningful opportunities for professional growth and development in a variety of client-facing roles

Responsibilities include: - Support senior consultant relations professionals by acting as their internal liaison and source of firm-wide and strategy-level information - Respond to consultant inquiries, including requests for data (i.e. performance, holdings, fees, etc.), search-related information, and other ad-hoc requests - Manage the quarterly reporting process for a subset of consultants by coordinating with various internal groups (Investment teams, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Compliance, etc.) to ensure accuracy and timeliness in quarterly reporting - Coordinate the RFP process from start to finish by vetting proposals, conducting competitive analysis, then liaising with the Investment and Business Development Services teams to ensure consultant RFP deadlines and requirements are met - Organize consultant meetings and prepare briefing memos for internal meeting participants - Host consultant meetings with investment teams, facilitating introductions and summarizing organizational and strategy updates as needed - Conduct competitive analysis on MSIM strategies relative to peers using tools such as eVestment, and stay up-to-date on search activity and consultant publications using various third party databases - Maintain pipeline, contact, and client/consultant relationship information in Salesforce - Develop relationships with investment teams over time and build an expertise on MSIM strategies and vehicles

  • Bachelor’s degree, 3-6 years of industry experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • High degree of professionalism, organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work well under pressure while managing multiple responsibilities
  • Commitment to a team-oriented environment and a willingness to openly share ideas
  • Demonstrated success in taking initiative and delivering immediate and independent action to solve business problems
  • Ability to attain Series 7 and 63 licenses within time

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $105,000 and $155,000 year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
