Our client in the technology industry is seeking a Network Consulting Engineer to join their team. As a Network Consulting Engineer, you will be part of the Professional Services team supporting US Public Sector customers. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, problem-solving, and technical skills that align successfully with the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Provide innovative, end-to-end, optimized networking and architecture solutions to public sector IT leaders.

  • Assess customer requirements, develop and manage the service delivery methods of the engineering team, and execute improvements through the eyes of the customer and stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with customers on a variety of projects that have a real impact on their mission-critical public service goals.

  • Be the trusted advisor on assigned customers/accounts by being onsite as needed.

  • Continuously learn and strengthen technical skills for relevant technical domain and adjacent technologies.

What's Needed?

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent plus 5-8 years relevant experience in Enterprise Networking.

  • Deep understanding of key technologies and protocols in Enterprise Networking and data center environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of designing and optimizing complex network solutions.

  • Expertise with software features and functionality.

  • Professional R/S level (i.e., CCNP) or equivalent relevant certification like CCIE R/S and/or DevNet Professional is/are desired.

  • Route/Switch advanced knowledge and experience with the following areas: Cisco Routing & Switching Platforms, Datacenter Switching Platforms, IP Routing, Internetworking, MPLS, LAN Switching, Multicast, Route Redistribution.

  • Great knowledge/experience with features, examples include: MPLS (L2/L3 VPN/VRFLite) and MPLS-TE, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, EIGRP, inter-as, QoS, Ipv6, IP SLAs, RPVST+, MST, PIM, DMVPN, GETVPN, NetFlow, PfR.

  • Knowledge and experiences in SDWAN, DNAC/SDA as well.

  • Programming skill like Ansible, Python, AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning)

  • Should have experience within enterprise networking environments both in troubleshooting complex scenarios and collaborating with the client and other team members to reach outcomes the meet the client’s needs.
