Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience interacting with and manipulating data using tools such as SQL, R, or other statistical languages.

  • Experience in a client-facing role, using data to influence HR strategies and presenting to executive audiences.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience collaborating on projects involving multiple teams, managing ongoing relationships with clients, and presenting to senior audiences.

  • Experience with inferential statistics and using quantitative and qualitative analytical strategies to measure the effectiveness of programs, interventions, and efforts for a large organization.

  • Experience using data visualization (e.g., tables, charts, graphs) to represent analyses to an executive audience.

  • Ability to self-direct work in an unstructured environment, managing ambiguity and working autonomously at times.

  • Excellent communications skills and solutions, and client service-oriented with an emphasis on creativity and diligence.

The team provides critical support to the business around issues of organizational health and is responsible for not just taking the pulse of our Googlers, but harnessing Googler feedback to drive change for the better. As an analyst you'll be detail-oriented and conscientious, analytical and curious. You're a strong problem-solver, who uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to get things done. And on top of it all, you're someone who wonders "What if?" and then seeks out the solution.

The People Analytics team acts as an internal innovation lab, using analytical approaches to make sure Google continues to be a great place to work. The team provides critical support to the business around issues of organizational health and is responsible for not just taking the pulse of our Googlers, but harnessing Googler feedback to drive change for the better. As a People Analyst, you'll be detail-oriented and conscientious, analytical, and curious. You’ll be supporting Cloud FHR with their most critical people data needs. Your knowledge of People Operations (POps) data, along with deep business context, will enable you to provide action-oriented analyses to ensure Cloud is well-informed and able to make thoughtful, data-driven people decisions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$165,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Build relationships and collaborate with senior HR clients and their teams to solve organizational problems by prioritizing work to manage multiple workstreams and situations.

  • Empower leaders and organizations across Google by providing high quality HR data, reporting, analyses, and insights.

  • Architect, develop, and automate data and analytics solutions, iteratively build and prototype models and dashboards to provide insights at scale.

  • Use analytical reasoning to identify problems and develop hypotheses, often recommending a data product that addresses client’s/stakeholder’s needs.

  • Manipulate and analyze large data sets to distill insights from data and connect disparate ideas into cohesive, well-grounded recommendations using creative, structured, and analytical thinking. Create effective, scalable, and intuitive reporting solutions.
