S&P Global Market Intelligence Inc. seeks a Performance Test Engineer who will create and execute performance test strategy and solution for both internal and external on-prem and cloud products to ensure optimal system performance, reliability, capacity, and scalability. Understand the system architecture, collect non-functional requirements, and define strategy for performance testing. Perform testing Microservices and REST APIs. Use tools such as JMeter and Storm Runner/Load Runner to script scenarios and execute performance tests. Create various dashboards on different tools for monitoring and observability of platforms. Execute performance tests (load, stress, scalability, endurance, and volume tests) based on project needs. Analyze test results, perform root cause analysis for issues, and work with development team to work towards issue resolution by suggesting corrective actions. Analyze and test for performance on database infrastructure. Monitor performance of applications using analytical tools. Document plans and results on confluence and raise defects using Microsoft Azure. Ensure optimal performance of production applications by establishing application and transaction SLAs for performance, implementing proactive application monitoring, alarming and reporting, and ensuring adherence to and measurement against defined SLAs. Analyze, design, and develop performance specifications and scripts based on workflows.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related IT field, plus five (5) years of experience as a Test Engineer or related occupation. Five (5) years of experience must include: End-to-end Performance Test Life Cycle; Utilizing industry standard tools like Load runner cloud, Jmeter, VSTS, Neoload; Cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, and GCP; Monitoring and logging tools including Datadog, AppDynamics, SolarWinds DPA, and Kibana; Performance testing Web services, Kafka brokers, and real-time emulators applications.Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S.The anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,280 to $170,400. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses & certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
