Then you might be our next plumber. job description Akelius is seeking a skilled and experienced residential plumber with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our team in New York city

As a residential plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential buildings

your expertise and attention to detail will ensure that our customers receive high-quality plumbing solutions

  • install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential buildings. This includes pipes, fixtures, faucets, valves, water heaters, toilets, showers, sinks, and other related equipment

  • conduct thorough inspections to identify plumbing problems, leaks, clogs, or other malfunctions. Utilize your expertise to diagnose the issue and determine the appropriate repair or replacement solutions

  • utilize your knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and industry best practices to recommend and implement effective plumbing solutions. Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards

     

  • efficiently install and replace plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, and water heaters. ensure proper alignment, connections, and functionality

  • troubleshoot and repair issues related to water supply and drainage systems. this includes repairing or replacing pipes, valves, fittings, and other components to ensure proper water flow and drainage

  • coordinate and collaborate with other team members, including contractors and technicians, to ensure a smooth workflow and successful completion of projects

     

  • interact with residents in a professional and courteous manner, maintain a clean and organized work area while respecting the tenants’ property

  • maintain accurate records of work performed, including time spent, materials used, and services rendered. prepare necessary reports and documentation as required

  • respond to emergency service calls promptly and effectively. Troubleshoot and resolve urgent plumbing issues, such as burst pipes, water leaks, or sewer backups in residential properties

  • keep track, manage inventory of plumbing tools, material and components

    who you are

  • high school diploma or equivalent

  • valid plumbing license or certification

  • minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a residential plumber

     

  • strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, codes, and regulations

  • proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings

  • ability to use plumbing tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices effectively

     

  • excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • strong communication and customer service abilities.

  • physical stamina and ability to work in various environments and conditions

  • valid driver's license and reliable transportation
