New York University Postdoctoral Associate (Michelmann Lab) in New York, New York

The Michelmann lab at NYU (https://s-michelmann.github.io/) is seeking 1-2 highly motivated Postdoctoral Associates with a keen interest in human episodic memory to study the role of generalized event knowledge in fast time-scale episodic memory processes. This position represents an excellent opportunity to develop advanced research skills.

Work description: You will be involved in conceptual and theoretical development of projects. Projects encompass computational modeling to formalize theory and inform predictions, data analysis of human Magnetencephalography and behavioral data, data interpretation, manuscript writing, and dissemination of results at national and/or international conferences. You will closely collaborate with other labs in the department and co-mentor Ph.D. students, Master students and undergraduate researchers. This is a one-year appointment with annual possibility of renewal.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $62,500-$90,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

The ideal candidate will possess robust analytical skills, have a strong computational background, and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Preferred additional qualifications are:

(1) Experience with human electrophysiology (EEG, MEG, iEEG/ECoG)

(2) Experience with neural network modeling of cognition
