Position Summary:

We're looking for a committed, professional full-time PrEP Coordinator for our Manhattan location. The ideal candidate is someone who is an effective communicator, personable and able to adapt.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leadership - Provide day-to-day oversight of the PrEP/PEP Navigation program.

  • Client Services - Ensure that issues/concerns encountered or raised at/by the clients are resolved; to ensure smooth operation of the program, including troubleshoot any crisis with clients.

  • Collaboration and Services – Collaborate with internal and external entity including foster effective partnership with community.

  • Administrative and Supervisory - Provide supervision to the PrEP/PEP Navigation staff by chart review, face to face case discussion and performance reviews

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in health, human services, education, social work, mental health with 1 years of qualifying experience required. May consider: Bachelor’s degree in non-related field with 2 years of relevant work experience; or a CASAC or LPN with 3 years of qualifying experience.

  • Qualifying experience includes verifiable work with the target populations: individuals with high risk contracting with HIV/AIDS, history of mental illness/disabilities/substance use, immigrants, LGBT, or other chronic conditions.

  • Fluency in Spanish or one of Asian languages preferred.

  • Appreciation of and commitment to Apicha’s mission and values

  • Excellent MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to work effectively in both a collaborative as well as individual setting

  • Must possess ability to interact with all levels of external and internal customers with a high level of professionalism and tact in representing Apicha CHC.

  • Excellent customer service skills to assist in resolving member complaints.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – for both internal and external communication
