Amazon Principal Product Manager, Performance Measurement, Measurement, Ad Tech, and Data Science (MADS) in New York, New York

Our customers are diverse. Whether the advertiser is a multi billion dollar brand, a fast-growing SMB or a fledgling seller, when they need to assess return on their investment in ads, they use our performance metrics to drive their investment decisions.

In this role, you will define and execute programs that improve measurement of ads performance and attribution. Attribution is the decision process to determine which ads receive credit for an advertising outcome. Attribution reporting helps advertisers assess the effectiveness of their campaigns by analyzing the interactions or touchpoints that lead to a conversion, such as a purchase. We perform attribution across campaign dimensions and targeting tactics and this role will help set our strategy, roadmap and work closely with applied scientists, economists and software engineering to deliver results.

This is a high pace environment, because we're inventing on behalf of all Amazon advertisers, who have diverse and evolving needs. Its also high impact, because our measurement is the primary measurement provider for multi-billion dollar spend across Amazon Ads.

About the team

The Measurement and Data Science team delivers campaign measurement and reporting across Amazon Advertising business and serves as the scientific center of excellence for algorithm development in campaign measurement. Our measurement and engineering platforms and products deliver campaign performance reporting to advertisers. By showing ads on and off our site, we effectively measure the Internet with billions of incoming, highly decorated events to process and summarize every day in near real time. Our infrastructure is extreme scale, requiring invention ahead of common technologies and exceeding PB scale with millions of transactions per second.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of end to end product delivery experience

  • 8+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience technical product management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

  • 4+ years of advertising or advertising technology experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
