The Procurement Manager will plan, direct, and manage a wide variety of procurement and administrative activities related to inventory management, the purchasing, contracting of materials, supplies, equipment, appliances and services at the most favorable costs and terms for Paths Management. As the main purchaser for the company, the Procurement Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and process improvement, while focusing on meeting business demand and achieving operational excellence. The role will involve maintaining high standards of quality, delivery schedules, as well as developing and implementing strategies to enhance and optimize processes.

Classification:

Exempt (not overtime eligible)

Hybrid Schedule – 3 Days in the office/2 days’ work from home

Travel required based on operational need

Essential function/Responsibilities: duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop new and review existing procurement processes to ensure our client has a best-in-class procurement system.

  • Execute sourcing initiatives to optimize services and value for cost, maximize business up-time, eliminate purchasing friction for firm, and manage third party risk.

  • Provide sourcing leadership, expertise, contractual support, and guidance to Department and Business Units.

  • Support implementation and adoption of sourcing for future and governance framework (pre-spend approvals).

  • Optimize inventory levels to balance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Drive efficient, transparent and ethical sourcing process with suppliers while engaging with internal customers to align on business direction to optimize vendor engagement outcomes.

  • Manage portfolio of suppliers/products and develop expertise in relevant industry, pricing models, and all other relevant data conducive to obtaining negotiation leverage and supporting internal customers.

  • Implement inspection protocol to ensure that purchased goods meet quality standards.

  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and new products.

  • Prepare and present reports on key procurement and demand planning metrics.

  • Adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in procurement and supply chain operations.

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor communications.

  • Resolve any purchasing-related issues or discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Develop policy to oversee the receiving process to ensure accuracy and quality control of incoming goods

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts by analyzing historical data, market trends, and usage

  • Develop and manage purchasing budget in conjunction with property operating budgets

    Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.

  • Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Purchasing Manager or similar role, preferably in affordable housing (including: construction, development, project management, facilities management, etc.).

  • Advanced Excel abilities and proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite and inventory management platforms

  • Strong understanding of contracting process, agreements, and contract issues, design, procurement and construction regulations and terms and conditions.

  • Detail-oriented with reviewing invoices, Purchase Orders and vendor agreements

    Salary Range: $150,000 - 180,000 annually
