Product Owner - Digital and Technology Partners - Hybrid/Onsite - Req#3017400

This position will be required to come onsite as needed for meetings with stakeholders. Prefer someone in NY, NJ or CT or surrounding locations.

The Product Owner will be responsible for partnering with business leads to execute strategic direction, ensure continuous improvement, and manage the technical roadmap for the experience. The candidate will work with cross functional teams to:

  • Consult with business partners, developers, third party vendors, and other key participants to define areas of focus and opportunities to develop solutions that meet organizational goals.

  • Define requirements and support development of solutions translating client’s business requirements into specific systems, applications and designs for solutions.

  • Manage backlog of product deliverables, and improvise and build on learnings from qualitative and quantitative sources, and in alignment with organizational goals

  • Independently initiate, identify and coordinate analysis of complex client needs in project areas such as new business pursuits, innovative approaches to solutions, available product functionality, and operational readiness assessment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct internal and external sessions to layout ideal design, brainstorm with end users, and ensure technical design supports objectives and measures appropriately tying back to concept objectives supporting business goals

  • Plan, coordinate and conduct the analysis of client business processes and functional requirements and the preparation of appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information.

  • Lead the technical discovery and specification defining process, and skillful application of experience, research and due diligence to the planning and execution of development and architecture. Evaluate existing solutions or explore new solutions.

  • Participates in integrated systems planning and recommends alternative technologies that will enhance current or anticipated information systems that support overall business goals.

  • Understand and define customer problems and articulate it to the development team to drive solutions. Break down complex problems into actionable steps.

  • Partner with the business leads to develop the business case for the new application with cost, service and benefit dimensions of proposed projects that are used at management and executive levels for funding and scope decisions.

  • Help to Define and track KPIs and measurable success criteria.

  • Partner with business unit resources to determine the overall timelines for the projects and use tactical session/documents designed to capture and track the features planned for the project release

  • Define what can be delivered according to project plans and how that work will be achieved.

  • Coordinate demos to show the value of the product, project or service to a current or prospective business group.

  • Manage the technical product roadmap as a shared source of truth that outlines the vision, direction, priorities, and progress over time.

  • Advises clients on the consequences of actions; communicates risks and ensures understanding of these risks. Jointly develops risk assessment of plan with business leads, and provides ongoing communication.

  • Consults on the identification and definition of solution alternatives within the framework provided by enterprise solutions architecture.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required in a technical or healthcare discipline.

  • Seven or more years of related experience, In-depth knowledge of associated technology areas that could impact area of responsibility; healthcare technology experience preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms, tailor communication to audience, mediate and facilitate communications between others, and communicate architecture to all levels of management and customers. Ability to gain buy-in from stakeholders to resolve significant architecture issues.
