About the Team:

The Intelligence team is responsible for delivering best-in-class intelligence & insights to support the advertising and commercial ventures for The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, MarketWatch, Mansion Global & Investor's Business Daily. We craft compelling & clear narratives using a combination of secondary research sources, internal data and original proprietary thought leadership research. Team members act as experts in support of our advertising sales efforts & engage with our Sales, Product & Integrated Marketing teams, advertising clients & commercial partners.

About the Financial Services Research Analyst role:

We are seeking a full-time Research Analyst focusing on the financial services category. The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, and comfortable using data to develop interesting narratives.

Additionally, you will be expected to develop strong working relationships with key sales leads and our marketing team.

Location: On-site in NYC 3 days per week.

You Are:

  • Well-organized and have strong project management skills.

  • Interested in working in the financial services space.

  • An exceptional communicator, both written and verbal.

  • Detail-oriented, data-driven & statistically minded.

  • Able to work independently, demonstrate efficiency and problem-solving skills in completing required tasks.

  • Interested in market research, human behaviors and the "why behind the what."

  • Timely, professional and know how to deliver against tight deadlines.

  • Ideally proficient in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel as well as Google Sheets, Slides & Adobe Analytics.

  • Some background/understanding of the media landscape and survey-based research is desirable.

  • Proven ability to work well within a team environment while accomplishing individual projects.

You Have:

  • Preferred 1-2 years of experience at an advertising agency or in market/media research.

Pay Range: 40,000 - 160,000
