Edelman is looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our Consumer/Brand Team supporting a beloved leading retail brand in the home industry. The ideal candidate is detailed oriented with excellent project management skills, collaborative, a problem solver at heart, and has strong media relations skills. Experience working with integrated, cross functional teams is a plus.

Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate a general knowledge of media landscape including outlets and reporters, as well as how media outlets are using social media tools to garner attention
    • Proven experience building and maintaining a network of media and industry contacts, consistently securing stories, and tracking results. Existing media relationships in home, lifestyle and entertainment is a plus
    • Support planning and execution for earned media strategies, inclusive of research, analysis of media coverage and online conversations
    • Demonstrates an understanding of research and measurement techniques, including analysis of media coverage and KPI setting
    • Collaborate with creative, influencer, and strategy teams to ensure media ability
    • Support on multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline and budget adherence- this includes leading media events to supporting creative brand campaigns
    • Provide cross-team support to deliver client-ready work with solid research, writing and editing skills, attend meetings and conference calls, compile media and competitor coverage audits, coordinate media event pitching and logistics
    • Foster an open environment for staff junior to you by motivating, coaching and consistently providing feedback
    • Demonstrate sound judgment, initiative, and an interest in creative problem-solving with an ability to adapt to change and meet deadlines
    • Research, contract and manage third-party partnerships including media spokespeople, celebrity talent and production and/or event vendors
    • Understand client's business including general business strategy, industry issues, key customers, and competitors in the marketplace

    • Commit to continuous learning and improvement of your technical and leadership skills


Basic Qualifications:
    • At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing
    • Bachelor's Degree


$52, 000 - $77, 000 a year

An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
