Amazon Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A, Ads Global Sales Growth in New York, New York

We are looking for a top analytical mind to develop a deep country understanding, create key performance indicators, provide guidance to optimize upcoming investments, and measure results of recent initiatives.

The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity and have highly respected business acumen. This role partners directly with cross-functional leadership and multiple Advertising Finance teams, and requires strong communication and technical skills.

Key job responsibilities

  • Provide strategic support to key Growth Sales initiatives and investments

  • Build, iterate, and automate financial reports, metrics, and scorecards to support short and long-term planning

  • Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting of Financial performance for newly launched initiatives

  • Ad hoc business support

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

  • 2+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of Tableau

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
