How Will You Contribute?
This position is critical in the interpretation and execution of our CBA across our 5 facilities. Fostering positive labor relations while ensuring performance standards is also crucial in this role.
Your Main Focus:
Participation and execution of all union related matters involving, Laundry, Distribution and Food Service Joint Board, Workers United, Affiliated with SEIU (800 employee members), and, Teamsters Local Union No. 812, Affiliated with The International Brotherhood of Teamsters (200 employee members).
The implementation and adherence of two distinct CBAs.
Assist in CBA negotiations planning and meetings participation.
Coordinate investigations of employee incidents involving misconduct or improper behavior.
Liaison between management, rank-and-file, union(s).
Schedule quarterly labor-management meetings in five facilities.
Respond to all union documented grievances and schedule grievance meetings at the respective facility.
Execute employee terminations, and participate in subsequent hearings in matters of arbitration, NLRB and/or other governmental agencies.
Maintain a professional rapport with all Union Business Agents.
Support HR and facility staff in matters concerning union member employees, including communication, disciplinary regulations and effective leadership in a union environment. Coordination and execution of the disciplinary process.
Take on additional responsibilities and/or project(s) as required.
Position Requirements:
Degree in a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in labor relations, negotiation, grievance procedures, arbitration and collective bargaining
Experience in a warehouse environment, distribution or consumer goods environment is desired.
Knowledge and experience in the beverage and beer industry is a strong plus.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong commitment and understanding of customer service.
Excellent organizational / time management skills.
Proven analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and data-driven decision-making capability.
Flexible schedule.
Salary: $120,000.00-$125,000.00
It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
