Insight Global Senior Managing Clerk in New York, New York

Job Description

An Insight Global global law firm client is currently seeking a Senior Managing Clerk to join their Practice Management team. The Senior Managing Clerk will sit in the New York City office and will support the attorneys in their dealings with the courts and report to the Director and Associate Director of Practice Management.

Key Responsibilities:

 Arrange timely filing and service of pleadings and court papers.

 Review key documents prior to filing and submission to courts and agencies.

 Communicating with court personnel.

 Ensure that attorneys are kept abreast of filing deadlines and court appearances.

 Coordinate with outside service providers and vendors for confirmation of service.

 Work with Centralized Docketing Department to make sure deadlines are tracked.

 Responsible for understanding and researching court procedural rules and advising attorneys with respect to compliance with procedural rules.

 Monitor newly filed actions in state and federal court.

 Responsible for monitoring cases and creating case trackers for cases through Bloomberg Law, PACER, CourtAlert and other software.

 Maintain all court form files as well as directories of court personnel.

Base Salary: $165,000-$200,000

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree from an accredited university

 15 or more years managing clerk experience

 Experience working within and understanding the NYC court system

 Strong experience filing, coordinating with vendors, monitoring active cases, etc.

 Strong, concise communication and written skills null
