Senior Product Manager, Strategic Growth Initiatives

News Corp is a global diversified media and information services company focused on creating and distributing authoritative and engaging content to consumers and businesses throughout the world. We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to join our Global Technology team at News Corp HQ. In this role, you will work with the VP of Product leading key strategic initiatives globally. In this role, you will be responsible for defining the strategic direction, roadmap, and execution of our Innersource initiatives, as well as driving the development and deployment of AI-powered products and solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, design, and business development, to deliver innovative solutions that align with our organization's goals and objectives.

Reporting directly to the VP of Product and the Global Head of Engineering to deliver multiple products simultaneously across Dow Jones, News UK, The NY Post, and News Australia. This role is hybrid and based in NYC or London.

Responsibilities:

As Senior Product Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and executing the product strategy for our Innersource and AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with company objectives, market needs, and key principles.

  • Conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify new product opportunities, feature enhancements, and emerging trends, helping drive data-informed decisions.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales to develop, launch, and scale new products and features in line with the guiding principles.

  • Developing and maintaining product roadmaps, prioritizing features and initiatives based on business value, customer feedback, and technical feasibility.

  • Defining product requirements and working closely with engineering to ensure successful implementation and adherence to the principles for innersource and AI solutions.

  • Creating and delivering compelling product presentations, demos, and marketing materials for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Establishing and tracking key performance metrics, using data-driven insights to inform product decisions and drive continuous improvement.

  • Acting as a subject matter expert and evangelist for our product solutions both internally and externally, building relationships with industry influencers and partners.

  • Lead the ideation, design, and development of AI-powered products and solutions. Define product requirements, user stories, and use cases. Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deliver AI-driven capabilities.

Skills and Abilities:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Product Manager role will possess the following skills and abilities:

  • Proven experience in product management, with preferred experience in leading InnerSource program and/or Data product teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and build consensus.

  • Experience working in an agile software development environment.

  • Experience coaching and mentoring junior product managers.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management.

  • Prior experience in the media and publishing industry is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Job Category:

Pay Range: 150,000 - 180,000

Pay-for-performance is a key element in our strategy to attract, engage, and motivate talented people to do their best work. Similarly to salary, for bonus eligible roles, targets are set based on a variety of factors including competitive market practice.
