Are you passionate about building cutting-edge recommender systems and crafting personalized experiences across multiple platforms? Join Personalization team and be a key player in innovating the next generation of Recommendation and Personalization across Amazon Shopping experience.

What we do:

Our team drives personalized experiences by leveraging state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to ensure customers receive the right recommendations at the right time. We own and develop the core recommendation and personalization features that power various Amazon-owned businesses. By employing advanced A/B testing, we experiment with and fine-tune our solutions on some of the most prominent and high-traffic pages within Amazon’s ecosystem. Our work spans real-time, low-latency recommendation systems, customer behavior analysis, and the creation of dynamic content, all designed to elevate the customer experience.

About you:

You’re a skilled software engineer with a keen interest in machine learning, data science, search, or recommendation systems. Your strong problem-solving skills, coupled with a passion for staying on the cutting edge of technology, drive your desire to innovate. You possess strong leadership qualities, sound judgment, and clear communication skills, all underpinned by a proven track record of delivering exceptional products. Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

  • Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
