Job Overview:

The Social Media Video Producer will write, present, shoot, and edit videos for the company’s YouTube channel and other social media networks.

The ideal candidate will have a great deal of interest in the photo/video industry and a curiosity and passion for the latest gear and industry news. They will have a reel or YouTube channel showcasing their prior work.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Edits social media videos adhering to B&H’s style

  • Editing of both long form and short form video content including interviews, tutorials, trailers and more

  • Researches and acquires video elements such as stock footage, graphics, photos, voice-overs, music, sound fx, etc.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by manager

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of video editing, prior experience optimizing videos for social media a plus

  • Deep knowledge and interest in B&H product lines, especially photo and video

  • Familiar with production workflows, principals of videography, cinematography, editing, encoding, and output

  • Previous on camera experience a plus

  • Ability to use both Mac and Windows platform computers, software, and peripherals

  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite utilizing techniques such as assembling shots, applying transitions, creating titles and graphics, adding voiceovers and music

  • Detail-oriented and creative

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver time-sensitive projects

    Preferred Education, Experience and Licenses:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in video editing

  • Prior experience as on-camera talent
