We are looking for an expert at creating and editing short-from social video content with a proven track record of success. The focus of this job will be producing/cutting original short-form video content for the Yahoo Sports social handles. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is up-to-date on all current social and video editing trends and knows instinctively how a video should be cut to draw viewers in and maintain watch time on content. We're looking for a candidate who is hungry, proactive and full of creative ideas; someone who is down to try anything and everything and pivot when things don't work out. On-camera experience is also plus! If you love remixing sports content, telling stories and creating visually entertaining content, this job is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating short-form video content for Yahoo Sports social channels - original content and interviews with athletes and celebrities
• Editing original short-form content
• Staying up to date on current industry trends, evolving strategies and working constantly with editorial and video teams on ensuring all types of social content are following current best practices
• Working in lockstep with Yahoo Sports' creative and video team to tell the best story possible on shorts using motion graphics and video edits
• Working with Yahoo Sports talent and athletes to create short-form video content
• On-camera experience a plus

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in social video creation
• Deep experience working in Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects
• Motion graphics experience a plus
• Expert in sustaining watch time via video edits and animation
• A huge fan obsessed with all things sports, social media and internet trends
• A go-getter who can multitask, stay cool under pressure and work across multiple groups to partner and collaborate on multiple initiatives

The compensation for this position ranges from $72, 750.00 - $151, 250.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
