Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Software Engineer in New York, New York

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center seeks Software Engineer (New York, NY) to be responsible for planning and development of application specifications for upgrades, enhancements and new implementations of programs that interface with other applications/databases to meet complex business requirements. Prepare logic tables, flow charts diagrams written documents for the architecture and design required by project plan. Produce and write code/specifications to be used to produce reports for data integrity and control and to ensure performance optimization of system and/or application. Analyze data, workflows, procedures and reporting to develop functional specifications and design documents, and maintain business specification documentation. Define and create test plan scenarios for application upgrade, data conversion and new implementation and prepare data and scripts for testing. Coordinates testing of system functionality and workflow with external/third-party vendors for billing enhancements and/or regulatory changes. Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products. Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications. Implement the features and user interfaces of our products. Consider and develop system contingency plans to maintain high system/application availability. Develop programs that may interface with other applications/databases, to meet complex business requirements. Execute and coordinate systems, integration, and enterprise-wide test plans for assigned projects. Update documentation (e.g., test plan, outcome of plan, user documentation) in order for management and audit to understand business processes and the required financial controls. Document problems occurring in the production environment and determine the criticality of production problem; responds immediately when critical. Provide system support to Help Desk and users. Participate on 24/7/365 on-call schedule as directed by Manager. Part-time telecommuting permitted. EEO/VETS/ADA.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field and 5 years of experience in the offered role or a related occupation. Requires 5 years of experience with all of the following: working with Native iOS, Android and cross platform mobile app development; software development lifecycle in an environment that has adopted the Scaled Agile Framework; working with C#, C/C++, T-SQL; working with SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB; the following technologies: Agile Methodology, AWS, DevOps and Azure; and experience with mobile cross platform application development, such as Outsystem or Xamarin.SALARY:$127,774 - $192,800 /year LOCATION:633 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10017To apply, please send resume to Human Resources dept / VM, 633 3rd Avenue, 5th Floor, New York, NY 10017 and reference requisition 0058.
