Citigroup Specialized Analytics Lead Analyst in New York, New York

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Specialized Analytics Lead Analyst for its New York, New York location.

Duties: Support data analysis and model development for Citi’s U.S. Consumer Analytics business. Develop machine-learning models that enhance business decision-making and maximize marketing efficiency for retail banking and card products campaigns of the U.S. markets. Conduct financial and statistical analyses to derive strategies of machine-learning modeling. Use various analytical tools, software and techniques, including SQL and SAS, to identify, compile and analyze complex datasets used for customer behavior prediction and model and strategy developments. Envolve in model maintenance activities including Annual Model Review, Ongoing Performance Assessment, Annual Fair Lending Review, Limitation Closure, and Revalidation processes. Participate in new marketing strategies setting initiatives and campaign optimization of various products and programs supporting target customer centralization and enhanced decisions making. Ensure compliance with the model risk management policies in the process of documenting data requirements, data collection, processing, cleaning, and exploratory data analysis. Present modeling function and defend model calculations using Excel and Python codes in internal audits and model validation meetings. Work closely with Marketing, Campaigns, Model Risk Management, Legal, Fair Lending, and Implementation teams to develop, validate and implement machine-learning models and analytics solutions. Collaborate with Product and Campaign teams to design revenue growth and expense saving strategies in modeling roadmaps creation. Evaluate external tools and data sources that can be used to improve modeling processes and the models’ performance. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or related quantitative field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Model/Analysis/Validation Officer, Model/Analysis/Validation Analyst, Business Analyst or related position involving machine-learning model development, optimization and validation for global financial institution. 5 years of experience must include: Financial and statistical analyses in support of customer segmentation and targeting, product selection, offer optimization, and customer behavior and contact strategy analyses; User acceptance and system integration testing; Model implementation and performance monitoring; Model risk management; Documenting data handling process; Presentation and defense of model calculations in audit response; SQL, SAS, Python, R, Excel.
