Description

Premier healthcare organization with a strong presence across the Tri-State area is expanding its global footprint. We are in search of a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team, offering an opportunity to contribute to our international expansion efforts. The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with the CFO and billing department, supporting clinical operations and overseeing accounting processes. Key responsibilities include ensuring financial statement accuracy, implementing control procedures, analyzing balance sheet accounts and bank statements, managing third-party contracts, maintaining fixed asset schedules, and assisting in financial reporting using QuickBooks. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounting functions such as general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, and project accounting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

  • Manage monthly financial record closing and posting, ensuring the precision of financial statements.

  • Assist in preparing monthly and year-end reports, statistical reports, and financial statements.

  • Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing data.

  • Maintain and balance an automated consolidation system, inputting data and verifying accuracy.

  • Prepare general ledger entries, reconcile accounts, and manage payments.

  • Develop and implement accounting procedures, analyzing current processes and recommending improvements.

  • Maintain third-party contracts and respond to accounting and financial inquiries.

  • Record and analyze financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records and financial statements for accuracy and completeness.

  • Reconcile financial discrepancies and prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations.

  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of financial records with adequate documentation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.

  • Two years of accounting experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Strong understanding and experience with General Ledger maintenance

• Proficiency in creating and managing Journal Entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in handling Month End Close tasks

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Quickbooks Online

• Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• CPA certification or progress towards certification is preferred

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity

• Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
