Productivity Engineering is a team at LinkedIn that builds products that power LinkedIn’s business. We drive technology vision, architecture, and design for systems that help the company deliver on major business processes (go-to-market, sales, finance, and customer support). We deliver products that let our customers do business with us in a seamless way, help grow our top line, and increase our efficiency.

We are looking for driven and passionate software engineers for our Customer Operations Productivity Engineering (COPE) team. We are building the next generation customer support ecosystem for LinkedIn by automating business solutions and processes that provide service/support intelligence, boost revenue, and improve leverage while working collaboratively within cross-functional engineering and business teams. The systems we build support thousands of internal users (sales/support reps) and millions of external users (enterprise and consumer customers) using 25 different languages, via scalable tools & technology. We help review business requirements, drive system design, implementation, integration and develop optimal solutions for unique enterprise problems.

As a Staff software engineer in team COPE (Customer Operations Productivity Engineering), you will build cloud-native applications and microservices to improve customer operations. These tools/services will directly impact the daily workflow of our agents who support our 700+ million customers and will, in turn, ease business intelligence, boost revenue, and improve leverage. The candidate is expected to design, implement, and operate high-quality systems with frequent automated deployments. We are looking for a results-driven candidate who can help coach team members and deliver at the highest levels of quality and craftsmanship with a sense of urgency and ownership.. The ideal candidate will be excited for the challenge to transform and think critically on delivering 24x7 reliability and continuous integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance, debug, support, analyze, maintain, and test new/existing functionality

which supports internal business units or supporting functions

  • Design, document, build, test, and deploy mid tier applications that help automating business

processes which don’t necessarily need any human intervention to improve productivity and

efficiency

  • Partner with project management and operations team to deliver against the rising needs of

the business

  • Resolve complex technical issues by taking ownership and collaborating with various internal

teams when necessary

  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including discovery, analysis,

requirements definition, solution design, configuration, code development, testing,

deployment, and support.

  • Work independently to make decisions regarding resolution of issues

  • Review upcoming product releases as well as other integrated applications and provide

recommendations when necessary to enhance efficiency and productivity

  • Upskill internal team members by leading knowledge transfer sessions

  • Lead technical design reviews/approvals on behalf of a team

  • Consistently deliver output with a high-degree of craftsmanship

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience.

  • 4+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.

  • 4+ years programming experience in languages such as Python, Java, Javascript, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Ruby, etc

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS and 8+ years of relevant work experience, MS and 7+ years of relevant work experience, or PhD and 4+ years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience working on process improvement projects using custom automation tools for e.g.

robotic process automation/software robotics, event sourcing, process mining, automated

timekeeping, sentiment analysis, real time language translation etc.

  • Experience with data warehousing and mining, preferably with Hadoop and or Azure

DataLake

  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning/LLM Models

  • Experience integrating systems through APIs using REST/SOAP protocols

  • Experience with persistent storage for e.g SQL or NoSQL databases, blob, containers etc.

  • Experience with cloud computing preferably Azure

  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery, preferably with Azure DevOps

  • Full stack development experience, preferably React/Typescript in FE and .Net core MVC for

backend

  • Experience working in a high-growth, performance-focused environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for cross functional collaboration

  • Team-first attitude and drive to add value

  • Experience with Power Platform (power automate, power virtual agents, Dynamics 365)

  • Experience with enterprise business applications and concepts like CRM, ERP, Quote to

Order, Order to Cash etc

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $144,000 - $235,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
