About the Internship

We’re looking to improve how we tell our customers’ stories to drive operational change and deliver more meaningful customer experiences across our facilities. Reporting to the General Manager, Customer Experience (CX), you’ll work with our team to become familiar with our customer base, case management protocol, CX initiatives, and reporting portfolio. You’ll help us expand our internal messaging by leading the launch of a new department CX reporting series. You’ll also bring your editorial and data visualization knowledge to elevate how we present our CX reporting and analyses to department and agency leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Content Development / Editorial Support

  • Support content plan and format for the relaunch of our online department information resource.

  • Lead a new department-specific customer experience reporting initiative that highlights the amazing people working at our facilities.

  • Provide editorial development to create an eye-catching, informative, well-written, and engaging resource for an audience that may not otherwise consider CX within their work approach.

  • Deliver editorial and technical support in improving CX data dashboard portfolio for executives and facility management

  • Data Analysis and Visualizations

  • Review our team’s existing dashboard portfolio and support the ongoing development of data presentation, analysis and insights from multiple customer experience information sources.

  • Refine a polished, branded look and feel for our document deliverable portfolio that defines our group while aligning with agency design standards.

  • Customer Correspondence

  • Coordinate with facility management to research and draft/issue responses to customer inquiries received via multiple channels

Minimum Qualifications

  • Enrollment at a college/university through Summer 2025 and into the Fall 2025 semester

  • Graduate-level student

  • Major in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with customer-facing roles

  • Experience leading projects and presenting status updates

  • Experience with data analysis and visualization (Excel, Power BI, Tableau)

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Developing/editing content, writing news articles, and delivering presentations

  • Experience with document design/layout

  • Collaborative and proactive approach

  • Initiative to propose, develop, and own projects

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

  • Interest in leveraging transportation customer experience to drive improvements

Internship Details

  • The start date will be Thursday, May 29, 2025

  • The internship will last approximately 12 weeks, ending on Friday, August 22, 2025

  • This is a full-time internship (5 days per week at 7.25 hours per day)

  • The format is expected to be enter hybrid

Compensation & Benefits

  • The hourly rate range is $17.63 to $29.57 (the exact rate will be determined by internship type and rising school year)
