Citigroup SVP, Enterprise Risk Management - Risk Taxonomy Lead (hybrid) in New York, New York

Citi’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function is responsible to align and oversee risk management across the organization and drives execution of enterprise programs. ERM operating model ensures consistent identification, measurement, monitoring, control and reporting of risk across individual risk categories and in aggregate. Risk Taxonomy team within Enterprise Risk Management function is responsible for design and execution of the ERM operating model and engagement across Business, Risk, Technology and Compliance functions to drive effective execution of enterprise programs as aligned to Citi’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework

The individual will actively lead and contribute to fundamental design and oversight for annual implementation of Citi’s Risk Taxonomy with other enterprise-wide frameworks, processes and contribute to strategic initiatives within ERM.

Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and maintain enterprise risk taxonomy framework to ensure consistent and comprehensive approach for risk measurement and monitoring practices across all risk categories

  • Lead and facilitate annual refresh for risk taxonomy framework against defined framework requirements across First and Second Lines of Defense

  • Lead senior stakeholder engagement for design, training, awareness, and execution expectations for day- to-day risk management

  • Act as product owner delegate for development of reporting dashboards and technology tools

  • Advise on operating model to support target state risk taxonomy framework

  • Gain strong understanding of Citi’s regulatory commitments and internal risk management frameworks

  • Contribute towards a larger goal of a fully integrated enterprise risk management framework

  • Identify opportunities to add value beyond the scope of formal projects e.g., develop and deliver impactful presentations for senior management and stakeholder decisions, drive closure of identified issues

  • Establish and leverage cross-functional partnerships and network with key internal constituencies.

  • Lead efforts to align and enhance risk taxonomy linkages to other enterprise-wide frameworks and processes such as risk appetite, CCAR etc.

  • Display strong understanding of regulatory guidance and Citi’s internal risk management frameworks for the continued alignment of risk identification, measurement, monitoring, reporting and control approaches across all Lines of Defense

  • Contribute towards a larger goal of a fully integrated enterprise risk management framework

  • Act as the subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and / or other team members

  • Establish and leverage cross-functional partnerships and network with key internal stakeholders across the Lines of Defense

  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years of relevant experience in risk management or closely related areas

  • Problem solving skills, sound business judgment, and demonstrated result orientation

  • Displays creativity i.e., ability to think outside the box and above and beyond conventional wisdom

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Collaborative work style i.e., effectively interacts with partners across organizational boundaries/hierarchies

  • Ability to influence the organization and to affect change up to the most senior levels

  • Displays excellent organizational skills and can multi-task effectively

  • Good understanding of banking products and environment

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree in Finance, Economics or another quantitative discipline, Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$176,720.00 - $265,080.00
