Purpose of Role:

Marex is seeking a Trader who is an experienced, strategic, diligent, ambitious, and proactive individual, responsible for a portfolio of Marex Solutions USA products (OTC derivatives and structured products with either FX or commodities). This individual will have the ability to work autonomously, and also as part of a team and directly engage with clients. Commercial ability to maintain good relationship with clients and find new ones to bring flow.

Marex Solutions, a division of Marex, is a specialist producer of tailored OTC derivatives and structured products. We are a highly entrepreneurial and fast growing manufacturer, trader and service provider of customised derivative solutions. We design and implement solutions to mitigate against market risks or to create investment opportunities. We leverage cutting edge technology to empower our customers and disrupt traditional investment banking practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in close partnership with the Sales team and the Derivatives Engine to fulfil the requested revenues budget maximizing the profitability from the flows originated.

  • Manage efficiently the risks arising from the activity, in particular complying with the allocated risks limits.

  • Coordinate with the US sales team and steer the development of AGILE, our Proprietary web application to service our US based clients and secure revenues.

  • Work in cooperation with Quarant and IT team to improve the tools and the processes of the trading desk, including Marex proprietary pricing and risk management applications with the focus to adopt those tools to the US based business.

  • Collaborate with sales/broking functions to originate hedging solutions and structured transaction, with a cross product selling mindset.

  • Collaborate with central operations functions which support the trading role including but not limited to Operations and Technology.

  • Ensuring compliance with the company's regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.

  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

  • Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values

  • At all times complying with Marex's Code of Conduct

  • Carrying out regulatory activities under the Marex Financial and MSIL trading books

  • Liaising with clients in US; clients include banks, hedge funds, market makers, fund managers, institutional, trading houses and other trading boutiques.

  • To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.

  • To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required

  • To escalate risk events immediately

Skills and Experience

  • Experienced in either commodities or FX (foreign exchange).

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the financial service markets and relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Substantial experience working in and knowledge of an Marex Solutions USA product area.

  • Experience of the infrastructural support required to efficiently support Marex Solutions USA business lines.

  • Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.

  • Experience in operating on electronic market making infrastructure.

  • Experience in risk managing of sales and derivatives portfolios.

  • Knowledge of the underlying products at Marex within the Marex Solutions USA remit.

Salary Range: $1500,000 to $150,000 per year base salary and eligible for discretionary bonus.
