This is to sustain our culture of innovation, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and building relationships within the businessThe TeamThis is an opportunity to work interdependently with an engaged team that sits within a global Operations function at a global asset management firm. Position OverviewAs a Trade Operations Specialist you will be joining our US Transaction Operations team who is responsible for ensuring that our equity, fixed income and repo trades are managed end to end from confirmation through to settlement. The team is also responsible for ensuring that any issues or fails are pro-actively dealt with and resolved.ResponsibilitiesDeliver accurate, timely, compliant and cost effective trade processing servicesEnsure processes and procedures are in place to:- Identify, record, investigate and resolve trades failing to achieve market settlement by contractual settlement dateRecord, investigate and resolve trade related interest claims and report any associated costs to senior management in a timely mannerProvide administrative, transactional based support to others involved in the task of portfolio managementSupport external client queries and ensure that they are investigated and responded to within agreed timelinesContribute to department and Company initiatives and projects as assignedBasic QualificationsBachelor’s Degree strongly preferredTypically would require 1-3 years’ experience within Financial Services OperationsAn active interest in the investment management industryPro-active and forward thinking in communications with othersPreferred QualificationsUnderstanding of equity, fixed income and repo asset classesThe role is prescribed within a well-established framework. However, the role holder is expected to play an active part in improving day-to-day procedures and how the work is to be tackledAn understanding of market operations and local settlement processesAwareness of the risks associated within trade operations with a proactive approach to preventative measuresCompensation Schroders offers a base salary in a range of up to $75,000 for this position.The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting.
