Job Description:

Seeking a driven, self-directed individual to join the Global Markets COO organization to drive a portfolio of strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate for this role must have experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize competing demands and perform with a high level of efficiency. This individual will be expected to work closely with colleagues to achieve business objectives across Global Markets and COO organization, as well as various aligned Support Partner and Control Functions across the broader Bank of America enterprise. The successful candidate will possess strong communication and analytical abilities, excellent time management skills, and the ability to partner with others.The role will focus on driving a collaborative culture in pursuit of furthering strategic initiatives in support of the franchise.

This role will report to the Global Markets Business Control Executive / head of Global Markets Sales and Electronic Trading COO.

Manage – and participate in – various business management and legal entity routines, including business governance and forums, processes, and control frameworks.

Work with functional teams on initiatives related to commercial matters, control environment, risk management, regulatory requirements, business processes, platform, and technology, among others.

Coordinate identification and remediation of issues and integration of enterprise and regulatory deliverables.

Create management presentations, develop operating plans and measurement against KPIs.

The role requires the ability to multi-task, assist others with complex items, including subjects requiring extensive research, while independently prioritizing their workload. The role also requires analytical mindset with a view to providing pragmatic and effective solutions to tactical and strategic challenges.

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of exceptional experience in management consulting or financial services.

  • Strong understanding of product, process management, business controls and/or risk management.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be detail oriented.

  • Proven experience in a self-directed role.

  • Proven ability to manage timelines and display sound judgement.

  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills. Ability to drive root cause analysis, issue identification, and solution recommendations.

  • Highly organized, able to effectively plan/manage deliverables and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Advanced proficiency in various MSFT tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Access and SharePoint

  • Ability to quickly develop subject matter expertise across a broad spectrum of topics.

  • Ability to influence desired outcomes without direct management responsibilities.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experienc

Desired Skills:

  • Exposure to Global Markets / Sales & Trading experience and knowledge of business processes & products.

  • Familiarity of operational risk program requirements within a financial institution.

  • Ability to build partnerships; independently resolve conflict with awareness of when to escalate.

  • Demonstrated professional writing proficiency, strong verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Track record of innovative thinking.

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$110,000.00 - $175,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
