New York University Post Doctoral Associate (ESR/ NMR/Hyperpolarization) in New York

Applications are sought for two individuals to be appointed as postdoctoral researchers at New York University under the supervision of Assistant Professor Claudia E. Avalos.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, or a related field with expertise in magnetic resonance, ideally with experience in optics and electron spin resonance methods.

Successful applicants should be highly motivated and interested in developing methods exploiting optically induced spin polarization in small molecules for nuclear magnetic resonance and quantum sensing applications. In addition to advancing research projects, the postdoctoral fellow will be expected to mentor and work alongside chemistry graduate and undergraduate students.

The terms of employment are for one year, with a possibility of renewal, include a competitive salary and other benefits (https://www.nyu.edu/employees/benefit/full-time/professional-research-staff/benefits-guide-2024.html) . Subsidized housing within walking distance of the laboratory may be offered, depending on availability.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, this position's annual base salary range is $62,500 – $67,306. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
