New York University Postdoctoral Associate (Dr. Schlick group) in New York

Applications are solicited for an individual to be appointed as a Postdoctoral Associate under the supervision of Dr. Tamar Schlick’s group. The research will focus on biomolecular dynamics simulations, involving protein and nucleic acid structure and function, including genome structure and function, RNA design, and DNA polymerase mechanisms.

The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D and will have research experience in chemistry, biophysics, biomedical engineering, or related fields and possess excellent computer and programming skills and molecular simulation experience. A solid background in simulation algorithms and experience in advanced scientific computing are highly desired, as is a solid background in chemistry or biophysics. The applicant should be able to work will with a team, including experimentalists, and have excellent writing and communication skills. The terms of employment which would be a year, with a possibility of renewal, include a competitive salary and other benefits. In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $62,500/yr - $65,000/yr based on experience. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer .
